MAKING IT INTERESTING
I listen to programs on the radio regularly, and one seems most interesting and memorable to me, which I will discuss briefly under the selected headings below.
Welcoming: The host welcomes listeners to the program after the sig tune with respect and calmness. He greets everybody and then welcomes them to the program. The host can mention the places where he thinks his listeners are and greet them; this gives an individual a sense of belongingness. I think this makes me feel good about the program.
Engaging: Again, the program is very engaging, so the listener would be asked to send their comments, questions, and suggestions to a short code, which is read and addressed on air while the program is ongoing. On the other hand, the host can also ask questions, of which the answers are sent to the shortcode read on air while the program is ongoing.
Encouraging: The program gives you the courage to participate more in the program than before. So after listening to each episode, one is fired up to continue till he gets to the ultimate.
Easy to understand: The program is also easy to understand since it is in our local language, “twi” so contributing is made easier.
Memorable: The program is memorable since prizes are given to deserving listeners after answering questions.
